Pesta Perak Restaurant has become the favorite of foreign tourists and travelers who want to taste local cuisine of Jogja since 25 years ago (opened on 1986). Even though there are many cafes and modern restaurants, this restaurant is still consistent to serve various Javanese cuisine which is rich of seasoning and spices, and to cook it in special way to adjust it with foreigner's taste. When you come in, friendly waiters and waitress in traditional clothes will greet you warmly. Traditional music of gending jawa is played as the backsound. Various cuisines are served as buffet meal in the middle of a large room.

Many kind of soups as the appetizer are served alternately everyday. For the main course, you can choose either rice or fried rice with many dishes such as gudeg (young jackfruit) and sambal goreng krecek, telur pindang (egg cooked in soy sauce), sayur lodeh, sayur kare (favorite of Japanese tourist), various kinds of sayur tumis, urap, rolade daging, and sate ayam (chicken satay). There are also some traditional cuisine that are rarely found this day such as bothok mlanding and oyok-oyok mbayung. For the beverages, there are tea, coffee, es buah (fruit ice), and wedang ronde or wedang jahe (served at night only). For you who want to try traditional snack, pisang goreng (fried banana), tape goreng (fried fermented cassava), jenang, krasikan, enting gepuk, and madu mongso are must-try items. All of these food are included in a package, so you can try all that you like.

Pesta Perak Restaurant has been trusted as a partner of some professional tour agents for years. It is located in a quite strategic area on Jalan Tentara Rakyat Mataram, only 5 minutes driving from Malioboro and Kraton (Royal Palace). You do not need to worry if you travel in a big group since this restaurant is big enough to accommodate 350 people.
