Some times ago, Bambang was sad when listening to his grandchild's story after returning from a study tour to another town. "We slept in the bus, we took shower at public restrooms. It's even hard to find a proper place to poop," his grandchild complained. In his heart, Bambang then promised himself he would make a comfy, affordable inn so children could rest well during study tour in Jogja.
The promise now starts to turn into reality. He renovated a large house near Malioboro and turned it into a guest house. He furnished the rooms with bunk beds and ACs. Each room also has their own common space and several bathrooms. The total capacity is 100 guests. Very comfy for study tour group, indeed.
Guest can check-in early at 6 in the morning, giving them enough time to take some brief rest, shower, and enjoy breakfast of toasts or rice plus a cup of sweet tea. Then, they can go ahead and visit Malioboro, Beringharjo, Yogyakarta Palace (keraton), Taman Pintar Science Park or Gembira Loka Zoo. These tourism destinations are relatively close from the guest house, so after dropping the guests there, tour buses can return and park at the guest house. The guest house's parking area can accommodate 2 large-size buses-easier and more affordable.
Located near Malioboro, guests can hang out around the neighborhood when the night hasn't been late. The feel will get merrier and more comfortable as day's heat won't burn. If you still have some fire left in you, you can continue your trip to the Alun-alun Kidul where you can play masangin (walking through two big banyan trees with your eyes blindfolded), ride on colorful odong-odong, or just hang around and enjoy some grilled corns and wedang ronde.
How to get there:
