Visiting 4 Landmarks of Yogyakarta by Trans Jogja

Yogyakarta is a city which has full of stories, histories, and memories. Those make people who once lived here fell in love and always want to visit it again. Some places that should not be missed when visiting Yogyakarta are Malioboro, Prambanan, Ratu Boko Palace, and Tugu Jogja as its cultural landmark. To reach those places, we can use Trans Jogja bus that operates everyday starts from 5.30 am until 9.30 pm.
We can start the tour "Landmarks of Yogyakarta" in the morning. Beginning from Tugu Station, Adisutjipto Airport, or Malioboro Street and finally we can stop in the Prambanan Temple, Kalasan. For the travelers who come from Tugu Station can walk about a minute into Halte Malioboro 1 to take 1A route with Trans Jogja. The journey spends about an hour and it will pass Beringharjo market, Indies buildings (Vredeburg, the State Palace, Bank Indonesia building), Taman Pintar, and Gembiraloka Zoo. While for the tourists who come from Adisutjipto Airport can directly take 1A route to Prambanan Temple. It takes no more than 15 minutes.
The bus will stop at Halte Prambanan (Terminal Prambanan). After the bus stop, we can walk across the street to purchase the ticket as the admission to enter Prambanan Temple (+62274 496 401), a Hindu temple. Prambanan Temple's Complex is lovely. Prambanan was built in the reign of Rakai Pikatan and Rakai Belitung in the 10th century. Prambanan's reliefs contain the story of Ramayana. Colorful flowers which bloom in the garden and the deers that run around the temple make this place more beautiful. One way ticket of Prambanan and Ratu Boko Palace is USD 20.
After Prambanan Temple, the next trip is visiting Ratu Boko Palace (+62 274 496 510). To reach Ratu Boko Palace, you should take the shuttle bus that provided by Tourism Park Temple (TCW). The bus will depart every 10 minutes and the last departure is at 3 pm.
Ratu Boko Palace is a palace which is the debris of the ancient Mataram Kingdom that ruled Southeast Asia about a thousand years ago (The kingdoms also build Borobudur). The palace itself is located above the magnificent hill that can be the place to see the kingdom's territory. While seeing the view from above, we can resting and eating in the cafe at Ratu Boko Palace's complex. While enjoying the lunch, we can see Prambanan Temple from the distance with its majestically background of Mount Merapi.
The next destination of "Landmarks of Yogyakarta" is Malioboro to enjoy the sunset and to shop. From Halte Prambanan take 1A route. The bus will take us through Solo Street and Yogyakarta's most famous landmarks, Tugu Jogja. If you want to stop for a moment at Tugu Jogja to perpetuate the image, please stop at Halte Mangkubumi 1. From Tugu Jogja, 1A and 2A route will bring us to Malioboro street as the heart of Yogyakarta. Enjoy the night at Malioboro!
