Not only foreigh tourist but also Yogyakarta's youths visit this cafe. When weekend comes, this cafe will be more crowded because it is filled by the youths who want live music. They come mingle with the tourist and they dance together in front of the stage which was made for the performers. This cafe which is dominated by red always present live music every Wednesday - Saturday. On Wednesday and Friday we could see Black Finit, a local reggae band, play this cafe. Also there are Blues on Thursday and on Saturday you can enjoy Rockabilly that will heating the cafe space.

Asmara Art and Coffee Shop or usually shorten as ASCOS is a cafe in Tirtodipuran Street which is offering different genre of live music every night. This house-like building is divided into two spaces. Inside there are an art shop together with drinking space and in the outside there are small stage, bar, and drinking space. The atmosphere of this cafe are warm and comfortable. While drinking beer, we can enjoy the music from played by local bands. ASCON also opens opportunities for anyone to hold events such as poetry readings, exhibitions, or others relating with arts. The schedule of live music from Monday to Sunday are Blues and Country, Totally Blues, Legend Music, Rolling Stone, and Rockabilly. Only for Sunday, ASCOS is closed.

Lucifer cafe is one of the cafe in Sosrowijayan which is the most frequently visited. Cafe that were once called "Amigos" is popular among young foreign tourists. Birtje?, Dutch word means "Want to drink beer?" becomes greeting phrase on the display in front of the Renzo Cafe. Cafe owned by a Dutch provides variety of beers with affordable prices. Interior of the cafe is decorated with Javanese batik motifs. On the east side of the cafe, we could see black and white photographs which are nicely laid out so it can add vintage nuance in the cafe. In addition, this cafe also provides cobra satay and tongseng which are prices IDR 45,000/each menu. Cobras are usually feared, but in here cobras made into food with typical Indonesian recipes.
