PHUKET
A Special Menu from Thailand with Great Taste But Friendly Cost

The word "Phuket" will bring our memory to Thailand. It is a name of a pretty island that becomes an interesting international tourism object in Thailand. Later, it was used by Mr. Joschy to name his restaurant that offers menus from Thailand, especially the Southern region. Since 2006, Phuket has enriched the international culinary in Yogyakarta.

Phuket offers various menus, such as Roti Naan Phuket Style (Phuket Naan Bread), Kwetiaw Sapi Saus Tiram (Beef Kwetiaw with Oyster Sauce), Cap Cay Bangkok, Ayam Goreng Bawang Putih (Garlic Fried Chicken), Sapi Karie Phuket (Phuket Beef Curry), and Kerang Hijau Masak Daun Kemangi (Green Mussel with Basil). One of its popular menus is Sup Tom Yam Seafood with its special taste because of the combination of seasoning and spices that results the sour and hot taste. In addition, it becomes a perfect taste when we have the fresh mussel, cuttlefish, shrimp, and other seafood in it. If you want a more exotic taste, Phuket also has Ayam Goreng Nanas (Pineapple Fried Chicken) which is uniquely served in a pineapple bowl. As the dessert, you may try Salad Mangga Muda (Young Mango Salad) combined with teri (small fish). Its unique combination results in complete and perfect flavor since you can taste sour, sweet, hot, and salty at the same time that will make you unable to stop chewing before the last bribe. For the beverage, Phuket offers Thai Iced Tea and Thai Coffee which are originally from Thailand. Another special beverage is Es Kratingdeng Lychee. It is a kind of energy drink that is mixed with milk and lychee.

Different from other international restaurants which has quite expensive price range, Phuket applies a concept of warung (small restaurant) which offers cheap price for all level, even for students and this makes Phuket be more well-known for people in Yogyakarta. Yogyakarta people seem like the menus offered by Phuket and it is proven by the four outlets of Phuket there. For Moslem people, all menus in Phuket are halal (kosher), so you don’t need to worry about this. In addition, since the food is originally adapted from Southern Thailand, which is identical with Malayan cuisine, so it is legal for Moslem.
