Since 2002, some places in Yogyakarta are decorated with murals. Those places look like to be given new nuances as well as being preserved. Tour de Djokdja this edition with the theme of "Jogja Murals" invites you to explore the corners of this culture city that are decorated with murals created by Apotik Komik, a community of mural artists in Yogyakarta, and collaborative works with mural artists from San Fransisco through Sama-Sama/Together Project.
The Lempuyangan flyover under which parents and little children spend the afternoon watching the train passing by, invites you to enjoy fun murals. Meanwhile, Galeria crossroad reminds you of the history of the place through the murals depicting allusions for the gamblers. Finally, Permata movie theatre that has been operating since 1940s invites you to admire the work of Aaron Noble, a muralist from America who created "Matahari" (The Sun), his imaginary superhero character.
